The Property Franchise Group PLC is the holding company for four master franchises with a stable of six property brands which transcend from “traditional” high street agency brands of great provenance (CJ Hole was established in Bristol in 1867) to new style online “disrupters” such as its EweMove brand which sold its first franchise in 2013.
The Group has a strong focus on lettings and currently manages over 50,000 properties on behalf of private clients, which amounts to a town the size of Torquay in Devon. The Group’s franchisees collected and processed to landlord clients in 2017 over £0.5bn in rents, they also agreed over 30,000 lettings and 12,000 sales.
In March 2012, The Property Franchise Group introduced an estate agency service with a view to leveraging and extending its established brand name in the UK. The group’s considerably increased its knowledge, expertise and presence in estate agency by the acquisition of four long-standing brands – C J Hole, Parkers, Ellis & Co and Whitegates from Legal and General in October 2014.
The Property Franchise Group now operates 5 traditional lettings and estate agency brands Martin & Co, Ellis & Co, Parkers, C J Hole and Whitegates from high street premises. The Property Franchise Group acquired the Ewemove brand on 5 September 2016. Ewemove is a hybrid estate and lettings agent in that franchisees can be either online or based on the high street and online.
